It's raining it's pouring!

It was a rainy day- er, week- in Chattanooga last week. Sofia had her raincoat and purse and was ready to go to "our" piano lesson.

Will's 1st Birthday

On Sept. 28 Sofia's friend Will entered the great kingdom of 1-ness! We went to Coolidge Park near downtown (9/30) to help him celebrate. He and Sofia are just 3 months apart and have a Kindermusik class together. Will's mom, Kate, and Sofia's mom met at Strollerstrides in the spring.

Gatlinburg and Dollywood (Oct. 19-21)

We spent a great weekend with our friends Kate, Edward, and Will in Gatlinburg. We rented a cottage and also went to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

Playing at Dollywood's Treehouse was fun. Will and Sofia playing near "The Treehouse" in Dollywood. The ground was so spongy and perfect for running, tumbling, and jumping!

Sofia and I spent a wonderful 8 days in Italy with my dad and family.



Here we are in front of my dad's elementary school in his hometown, Corleto Monforte.

One night before dinner we went to take a look at a newly renovated church in Corleto since my dad's cousin had the keys to it and it was right across from his home. Sofia was checking out the pews and kneelers.

What a beautiful day it is in Chattanooga. Sofia and I are enjoying the outdoors. The temp is about 66 degrees right now and it's sunny. You could hear birds chirping and a lawnmower running right now. Doesn't our house look scary dressed up for Halloween?




Sofia thought it was hilarious to throw the little pumpkins down on the ground everytime her mamma handed them to her for the picture. Her mamma got a good laugh, too.

Sofia's 15 month checkup

Sofia received a clean bill of health at her checkup Monday afternoon.
Here are her stats:
Ht: 31" (50th percentile)
Wt. 20 lbs. 14 oz. (50th percentile)
Head Circum.: 46 cm (50th percentile)

Sofia knows the sound a dog makes... well, "un cane". We ask, "Come fa il cane, Sofia?" (What does the dog do, Sofia?): and she responds with a HOO-HOO and looks like this:
